The Tang dance drama Miraculous Dunhuang was meant for Shanghai's Lyceum Theatre — yet six companies pick it for team-building, and an accident sends every employee into the Tang dynasty. Stranger still: six people who claim to be from 1925, with the exact faces of each company's boss.
They search for something called the "owl" — perhaps the only way back. The office workers decide to help these familiar strangers, each piecing together a strange night in Tang Chang'an.
