Where does the truth lie?
In Fall 2026, May Drama will present Go Back for Murder, a mystery adapted from Agatha Christie’s novel.
Sixteen years ago, painter Amyas Crale died mysteriously in his own garden. All the evidence pointed to his wife, Caroline. She was convicted of murder, and after her death the case appeared to be closed.
Sixteen years later, their daughter Carla receives a letter left by her mother. It contains one declaration: “I did not kill him.” To find the truth buried for sixteen years, Carla and Justin seek out the five people who were there—the five witnesses.
Who killed Amyas? And when someone remembers an event honestly, does that necessarily make it the truth?

Suzzy Xu is a second-year UW student majoring in Film & Media Studies and minoring in Drama with a focus on directing. After acting throughout high school, Suzzy explored roles in directing and producing, and also worked on May Drama’s The Message.
In summer 2026, Suzzy served as lead producer of the short film Saturn, continuing to develop a creative practice across film sets and theatre. Interests include film, theatre, writing and dance, with a particular love of mysteries, deduction and complex relationships.
